Michigan is a state that provides plenty of vacation spots within its borders but let's all be honest here, we want to explore other parts of the country and world as well. Sure, we can hop in the car and take a road trip to places domestically but sometimes that's not the best option. I don't know about you but getting on an airplane is one of my favorite experiences.

Many people have taken multiple flights in their lives and there have even been mottos and trends like "catching flight, not feelings" and others that have gone viral. The travel aesthetic is something that was once more relaxing and for everyone, but now it can be stressful and reserved for those who can afford some luxury.

The unfortunate events of 9/11 in 2001 created a system for all airports to ensure the safety of everyone on board. Most of this process happens before you even get on the plane and that is you and your luggage taking its journey through TSA. Every individual and their belongings must be scanned to make sure there are no prohibited items.

Depending on where you are traveling they will check either your ID or your passport to ensure that you are not a wanted person and have an airline reservation for that day. There are several things that you can find on the TSA website that are not allowed to go in your luggage. I wish I grew up when you could walk into the airport 30 minutes before your flight and walk right on board.

Now, things are much more complicated and if you forget something, it could become a much bigger issue. Below are 10 reminders for Michigan travelers so they don't forget these things before going to the airport:
