4 Minors Arrested in Michigan Cannabis Dispensary Break-in
Things have been different in the state of Michigan since they legalized the use of recreational marijuana for adults 21 years or older. This would essentially make cannabis a substance that is equal to alcohol and would change possession and use laws.

Hundreds if not thousands of Cannabis dispensaries have opened across the state since the legality change in 2019, some have had to close their doors while others have had continued success. One thing that we know for sure is that there is no shortage of inventory or competition for these dispensaries in Michigan.
Most of these dispensaries have armed security to deter anyone from trying something foolish and some of them are able to have that security around the clock. For the ones that don't they are hoping that their cameras and good reputation keep them safe. For the most part this has worked.
Unfortunately for this dispensary in Battle Creek, their lack of security led to an unfortunate event. Potter’s Cannabis Boutique on Capital Avenue in Battle Creek was broken into on December 30th, 2024.
The Gang Suppression Unit of the Battle Creek Police took the lead on the investigation and while working alongside other groups, was able to gather enough evidence to obtain a search warrants. After carrying out the warrants they made 4 arrests on Wednesday, January 15th.
3 of the 4 suspects are minors while the last suspect has just recently turned 18 years old. Police were able to recover a large amount of stolen marijuana and other evidence related to the break in.
