Michigan Ranks High On List Of Most Live Music-Obsessed States
Michigan is obsessed with live music and there is actual proof to back that statement up.
The Great Lakes State did not come in at number one, but Michigan did make the top 10 on a list of The Most & Least Live Music Obsessed States.
So how exactly was this determined? According to Shane Co, they compiled 134 search terms related to music festivals and artists on tour this summer, using sites like Festicket and Parade. Google Trends was also used to analyze search terms in order to find the highest search interest over the past year. Does anyone else feel like they have just been blinded by science?
Bottomline, there is a method to the madness, and Shane Co figured it out. This data just reinforces what most Michiganders already know - we love live music.
Without further ado, here are the states that made the top ten on the list of The Most Music Obsessed States,
- California
- Nevada
- Pennsylvania
- Illinois
- Ohio
- Massachusetts
- Tennessee
- Arizona
- Indiana
- Michigan
How did Ohio beat Michigan? Maybe the better question is how did any of these states beat Michigan? All kidding aside it is indeed awesome to see Michigan in the top ten. There are countless awesome venues in the mitten where we are lucky enough to be able to enjoy some pretty amazing live shows. One particular spot that comes to mind is the world-famous Machine Shop in Flint. In my opinion, the absolute best venue to see a live show.
Shout out to my fellow Michiganders that love live music, I look forward to seeing you at a show soon. For the complete list of The Most & Least Live Music Obsessed States, see below.
