The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of The Tampa Bay Lightning, have announced that they have re-signed Defenseman Ben Wilson for the upcoming season.

According to the release from the K-Wings,  Wilson is set to play his fourth season in Kalamazoo.  The 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman brings grit and toughness to the K-Wings blue line.

In 54 games with Kalamazoo last season, the native of Calgary, Alberta registered seven assists, 76 penalty minutes, and was awarded the team’s Defensive Player of the Year award.

The K-Wings will host their home opener against the Ft. Wayne Komets on Friday, October 21st.
