Red Wings To Have Red Carpet Walk Before Home Opener

The Detroit Red Wings will have their home opener, the last at The Joe Louis Arena This Monday, October 17th.  

According to the Red Wings,  the team will walk down the red carpet prior to the home opener.   The event is set to take place from 4:30 to 5:15 P.M.  near the east entrance of the Arena.   The players will arrive via various Chevy vehicles and will walk the red carpet, while being announced by The Wings public address announcer.

This event is free to attend and open to the public.  The team encourages fans to arrive early if you want to secure a spot on the red carpet.  Come out and cheer on the Red Wings as they begin the final season at The Joe.  For more details on the event check out the news story here.
