2021 Rocker recap

Although it seems 2021 has dragged on FOREVER, the last three months are not ancient history. Here's a quick look at the newsworthy events in Kalamazoo.

Things you never thought you'd see: the last KMart in Michigan closes permanently, an earthquake rocks Battle Creek, and RKR's Bobby Guy gets married again.

Charlie Watts' passing was the biggest story in rock. Locally, Kalamazoo's Outback Steakhouse closed forever and Battle Creek lost a 44-year old business.

When Ted Nugent dropped by a Battle Creek bar, jaws dropped. Rockers were shocked when ZZ Top's Dusty Hill died and Olde Peninsula closed for good in July of 21.

There were big changes at longstanding local businesses as other industries tried to get back to "normal" as 2021 rolled on in Southwest Michigan.
