Over the past few years I've spent my Fourth of July in Northern Michigan.  I usually leave the fireworks to the professionals in Harbor Springs and Petoskey.  This year I was thinking about actually getting some fireworks to fire off myself.

It's Memorial Day which many consider the beginning of summer.  I would be one of those  people.  After all, how many actual summer days do we get here in Michigan.  Let's start as early as possible.  Right?
