The City of Monroe is making me change my store sign because of the style of the text. Since one of my favorite local artist Rob Roy worked so hard and absolutely nailed it, I at least wanted a picture to remember it and for all of you to see it.

Spooky season is in full effect... and this sounds extra spooky - and fun!

Finally resurrected, remastered, and ready for an audience after 30 years in storage, Nuyen's film is a loving homage to 1980s horror and 1950s sci-fi.

So, Hostel was a big deal in the day, coming in early on the torture-porn genre that swept the world for a few years. It wasn't the most amazing movie, but it did spawn a couple sequels, including one shot in Detroit! Hostel Part III. The least exciting, and probably least graphic, of the series.

I haven't watch that many horror movies in recent years mostly due to my wife not being a fan of them.  Though when we first got together, I somehow got her to watch one of my favorite horror films, "Suspiria".

Ramone and I are huge fans of the horror genre.  He and I are constantly recommending movies, new and old, to each other.
