Metallica uploaded a video of ex-bassist Jason Newsted unboxing the deluxe box set for the reissued version of their album 'Reload.'

Jason Newsted dives deep into this year's tour with the Chophouse Band and how a friendship with Blackberry Smoke and a battle with throat cancer led to it.

The former Metallica bassist "underwent a procedure for throat cancer" in 2025, and he says that he's now living a more "clear-headed" lifestyle.

They'll alternate between headlining dates and opening for Blackberry Smoke.
