The Oakland Bistro on Oakland Drive announced that they would indeed be shutting their doors December 31st as well and they wished their customers a heartfelt goodbye in a Facebook post:
I think it’s time we do away with pet fees and we do away with acting like pets act like the Looney Tunes Tasmanian Devil. If you’re going to overcharge me to live where I’m living, you don’t need the extra $25 for my cat that sleeps 80% of the day.

Dr. Seuss Int. literally hires out a team this time of year to reverse image search and sue photogs who have used their characters for profit. So, unless you have $120,000 for a license to use their characters, that’s not a lawsuit you’ll win.
The building at the center of the discussion is the old Fifth Third Bank, and the people at Heritage Architectural Salvage & Supply aren't too happy about it.
