What started as dizziness and forgetfulness for Jill Salter was dismissed as vertigo. An MRI found nothing, yet her symptoms worsened, becoming seizure-like, causing slurred speech and impaired motor skills. Through a second MRI months later, doctors discovered a cyst on her pineal gland, the gland that produces melatonin and is responsible for the circadian rhythm. If Jill does not undergo brain surgery, the cyst will continue to grow and cause ever deteriorating health. Due to a lack of insurance, Jill and her husband, Cory, have to pay for this expensive surgery out of pocket.
