There's more to them than you might think.

The clumps of leaves in Indiana trees, which might resemble a bird's nest, serve another purpose.

Those squirrels don't stand a chance.

Turns out some states might be totally cool with you having a pet squirrel. Is your state one of them?

So where did the bird nests go?

Turns out, the Kellogg brothers may have played a part in their reintroduction to Southwest Michigan.

According to the Michigan DNR there are 9 different species of squirrels in the state including the northern and southern flying squirrels.

Some particularly "chonky" squirrels have been spotted around the UM campus lately, but in Michigan, that's pretty typical... within reason.
