Three Teens Admit to Vandalizing Van Buren County Cemetery For Fun
Three teenagers have admitted to vandalizing the Lacota Cemetery in Geneva Township.
Wood TV 8 reports that two 15-year-old boys and a 13- year-old girl say they tipped over and damaged nearly three dozen headstones for fun and because they were bored.
Earlier this month, the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department got a report that more than 30 headstones had been damaged at the Lacota Cemetery on Baseline Road, Wood TV 8 reported. Some of the headstones were over 100 years old.
The teenagers remain with their parents at this time. They are facing charges from the Van Buren County Prosecutors office.
