When it snows in Battle Creek, do you know which streets get plowed first and who has to wait, perhaps days to see a plow?

The City of Battle Creek's latest social media "Snowtification" is out, reminding residents of the priorities for snowplowing in the city. Here they are:

1) State trunklines (34 miles) and major roads (90 miles)
2) Battle Creek Transit routes and areas around our schools
3) Residential/local streets (205 miles)
4) Alleys and cul-de-sacs

The city asks residents to be patient after a snowstorm, while plows follow this order of snow removal priority.

In the post, city officials ask residents to be patient.

"After a snow, please hang in there. Our crews work hard to get to everyone as quickly as possible," the post reads.
