Roger Smith, owner of Addington Hills Cafe in Battle Creek, closed the doors for good on Saturday. According to an article from the Battle Creek Enquirer, Smith sites age and familial obligation as his reasons for making this tough decision. Even though those are very understandable justifications, it's still difficult to see a locally owned business take it's final bow.

Though the cafe has closed, the adjoining floral shop, Greensmith, also owned by Smith, will remain open.

Thanks for 18 long years of great food in a wonderful atmosphere, Addington Hills Cafe!
