Michigan’s 1077 RKR Announces Bad Back Bowling Tournament June 17th

It's time to grab your balls...and bowling shoes Rocker Army, because The Rocker Morning Show with Meatball & Mark is excited to announce for the first time in years, The Rocker Bad Back Bowling Tournament will be taking place the day after Father's Day, Monday June 17th from 10 AM until 2 PM, Sponsored By Kalamazoo Athletic Wellness.

Soooo, it sounds like you may have to call into work with the ole' "bad back" excuse because this event is one you will not want to miss. You don't have to be a pro to play either, because we'll be giving out sweet prizes to anyone. Also, some of the funds raised will be going to support the West Michigan Cancer Society. So, here's the details:

What: The Rocker Bad Back Bowling Tournament

When: Monday, June 17th, 2024/ 10 AM - 2 PM

Where: Continental Lanes,  3645 Vanrick Drive, Kalamazoo

Details: Doors open at 10 am. This will allow bowlers to get in, get shoes and a ball if needed, and get assigned a lane. Lanes are first come, first served. Teams of 4 will be assigned together, with a maximum of 6 per lane, so teams may be broken up into pairs of 2 to accommodate space.

There are only 180 tickets available for this event.

Bowling will start at roughly 10:30 AM and last until the final frame is bowled, at roughly 1:30 PM.

Prices & Accommodations

Individual tickets are $25, or a group package of 4 tickets for $80 can be purchased. Also, lane sponsorships are available, which will help spread recognition for your company and also come with 4-pack tickets. SEE BOTTOM TO ENQUIRE.

All tables will be served appetizers and (1) pitcher of fountain beverage or beer.

Prizes

During the first and second games, we'll have our crew come around and collect money for 50/50 and Strike Ball. After The first game is done at roughly 11:30, we'll call Mystery Ball Numbers. We draw a number, and if you get that number as your score in the first game, you win a prize. If nobody claims the number, we draw until we have a mystery ball winner.

After the second game, we will pull our second mystery ball winner. This is also when we will pull for 50/50 and Strike Ball. A Strike Ball ticket will be selected, and that bowler has one throw to get a strike, and if they do, they'll win half the total pot. We draw tickets until a strike is thrown.

50% of the total ticket money goes to the winners, the other 50% will be donated to the West Michigan Cancer Society. CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO WMCC.

Awards

After the third game, we will meet in the Back Alley Saloon, where we will hand out prizes for our last mystery ball, and the following awards:

Rocker Champs
Anyone who bowls a 107.
Humble Champ Trophy
Bowler with the lowest score over 3 games, if tied lowest game will determine.
Beer League Trophy
Bowler with the highest score over 3 games, if tied highest game will determine.
Hot/Cold Trophy
Bowler with the biggest difference between 2 games.
Teamwork Trophy
Team of 4 with the highest team series.
