Eric Stevens

Born and raised in Mid-Michigan, Eric "Fly" Stevens got his start in radio by working the overnights at a couple of Lansing stations beginning in 1998. He moved to RKR in 2004 by first doing weekends, then mid-days, and now afternoons, 2p-6p. He listens to a lot of music. Some favorites include: Pearl Jam, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, the many creative projects of Mike Patton, and The Beatles. Eric used to play saxophone and piano but has since traded that in to spend his downtime with wife Erika cheering on Red Wings hockey, Tigers baseball, watching movies, traveling, and taking care of their cat, Zeeb.

It uses many 80's themed story lines and recently they paid tribute to "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

Fly’s Latest Addiction: Lay’s Wasabi Ginger Potato Chips

Potato chips: It's one of those things that you can't stop eating.

Ever since Lay's started their "Do Us a Flavor" contest, I had to try all the latest flavor of chips.

There have been some good flavors (mango salsa, bacon mac and cheese, garlic bread),  and then there were the not-so-good flavors (cappuccino).

There is one in particular that I have enjoyed the most. It's last year's winner.

Do You Remember The Darkness?

Do you remember the band, The Darkness?  They were the British band responsible for the cheesy song and video, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" from 2003.  They are back with a new album set for release this summer.
