What is a Bontebok? It's a species of African antelope native to the Western Cape Area of South Africa. Currently on the threatened species list, over hunting nearly brought them to extinction. Thanks to conservation efforts and established bontebok reserves, the population is seeing a comeback. The proceeds from Bonteboktoberfest go to help these efforts and help support zoo operations. Be a part of this fun annual fundraiser. Enjoy some beer, have a bite, and help save these beautiful animals.
