Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, Potter’s Church gift wrap at Lakeview Square Mall to help those in need

BATTLE CREEK, MI. Nov. 2, 2016 --- The season of goodwill and helping others starts at Lakeview Square Mall.
The shopping center is hosting the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, the Salvation Army Angel Tree and the Potter’s House Church gift wrap station.
Tons of toys are needed to help make the holidays special for local children. Lakeview Square Mall is an official drop-off site for Toys for Tots, accepting new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 9. Donation boxes will be located near Santa’s holiday home in center court and the mall management office near Sears. Marine Corp volunteers will distribute toys to local families in time for Christmas.
In coordination with the Salvation Army, Lakeview Square Mall is also sponsoring an Angel Tree located next to Kay Jewelers.
From Nov. 14 to Dec. 16, shoppers are invited to pick a tag listing a child’s age and specific needs. Generous shoppers are asked to attach the tag to their gift and drop unwrapped donations in a special collection box next to the mall management office.
Salvation Army volunteers will wrap the gifts and deliver them to area children and families in time for Christmas.
Thumbs up for those who are all thumbs when gift wrapping. Volunteers for Potter’s House Church, stationed near Macy’s directly behind Santa’s holiday home, will transform packages with wraps and ribbons for a good will donation. Gift wrap services will be available Nov. 25 through Dec. 24 during holiday shopping hours for a fee based on package size.
