In a shocking announcement, it has been stated that apparently, Kyle Rittenhouse will allegedly be doing a meet-n-greet brunch in Grand Haven on Wednesday, July 19th. Sons Of Liberty PAC and Grand New Party are the ones organizing the event, and as expected, this is not sitting right with a lot of people.

On August 25, 2020, after arriving at the scene with an AR-15 style gun during the civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Rittenhouse shot three men, two fatally, when he was 17 years old. Rittenhouse was eventually acquitted at his trial in November 2021, after his defense lawyers argued he had acted in self-defense.

While some may look at Kyle as a "true patriot," there are others that are absolutely sickened by this event:

Disgusting. At the very least, this was a horrific tragedy. For him to be made out to be a hero is sickening. He isn't the police, he shouldn't have been there in the first place. As I said, a tragedy. Especially since one of the men killed thought that Rittenhouse might have been an active shooter so that's why he (unarmed) was chasing Rittenhouse. It was terror, it was confusion. But to turn this boy's actions into hero worship is gross.

One person pushing the event strongly is a former Grand Haven school board member, Brandon Hall, who was found guilty of election fraud in 2016 and stealing elementary school fundraising money back in 2010 after $750 he collected for T-shirt sales in a school fundraiser for the American Cancer Society was missing.

People on social media are already saying they plan on protesting the event, so we will see the validity of this event as the date draws closer.
