Police in Kalamazoo are looking for a pair of suspects in an attack that occurred Thursday night.

Fox17 reports that a couple showed up at Bronson Kalamazoo around 9:30pm Thursday, suffering injuries.The man had a knife in his back and the woman was pepper sprayed.

The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to be okay. The woman was treated and released.

The victims told the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety  that they were walking along Walnut Avenue near Burdick Street, when they were approached by a man and woman. The suspects asked the victims for a cigarette, leading to the suspects assaulting the female victim.  When the male victim attempted to help, that's when he was stabbed.

The suspects are described as a white male and female, in their mid-20’s. If you have any information, please contact KDPS or Silent Observer.
