Some of us can only imagine the kinds of stories that KISS, Mötley Crüe, and Lita Ford have from the early days of '80s metal in Los Angeles.  Louder Than Hell: The Definitive Oral History of 80s Metal is a book containing a collection of interviews conducted over 25 years. It's a candid look at the formation of your favorite metal bands, what inspired each person to pursue a life in music, and how MTV helped to push the glam movement, all from the mouths of the people who lived it. Salon.com released an article that is both a review of the book and Cliff's Notes for those too busy living a rock-and-roll lifestyle to find the time to read. Check out the article here.
