I'm one of the fortunate who has no apparent allergies.  I can thank my mother who allowed me to be exposed to all strains of bacteria and the like.

Maybe it's a generational thing but I don't remember any kids in school with peanut allergies or anything like that.  I guess there were some who had common allergies but it was not the big deal it is today.
