As we get closer to the end of October, we are starting to see that people are getting ready for the holidays and already starting to put up merchandise in stores to prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas most of all. I’ve always said it’s never a bad thing to be prepared for the holidays, especially when it comes to all the events that are going to be held throughout the state near Christmas.

Without a doubt, the biggest and brightest light show is already being assembled in downtown Rochester, Michigan. The Lagniappe and kick-off to the Big Bright Light Show is officially one month away on November 20th. Downtown Rochester recently announced that the entire downtown stretch will be decorated with over 1 million lights.

Mark your calendars for Lagniappe & the kick-off of The Big, Bright Light Show as we cover the buildings of downtown with over 1.5 million points of glimmering light! We will flip the switch at 7 pm and the light show will continue to be aglow every night from 5 pm to Midnight through January 21, 2024! The Big, Bright Light Show is presented by Fox Automotive Group.

With that many lights needing to go up, it’s no wonder that they’ve already started. Rolling them out as you can see from the video below. Let us know if you plan on going to the Big Bright Light Show.

Having grown up in Rochester, I'm a bit partial to the show, but it really does bring people from across the state every year, so you know it's good.
