My admiration for Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl continues to grow with the projects, the stories and his desire to pay homage to those in Rock who've come before him.  And it's not just Rock.  I just watched the final installment of  the Sonic Highways documentary on HBO and found myself not only admiring Dave but also feeling proud of the work he did.  The project was not only entertaining but also educational as all genres of music were included.  Plus, the way it was presented allowed us to be invested in each and every song on the new album.

But it's the stories isn't it?  The first one came to us during an interview with Kevin Cronin from REO about how he and Hawkins begged them to play "Ridin' The Storm Out" at soundcheck.  Then we heard about him at a Backstreet Boys concert getting caught singing along. The latest one Dave revealed from 3 years ago when Prince booked 21 nights at the L.A. Forum.  Grohl told Rolling Stone a great story about meeting Prince.  I won't plagiarize.  You should check it out.
