Geno’s in Parchment Getting Heat for Anti-Mask Sign

Geno's Golden Pizza & Pub in Parchment, Michigan is getting blow back from customers after they posted a sign on their front door that infers a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy toward wearing masks when inside. The sign says, quote:

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS

Those in our lovely government have ordered that all persons entering indoor facilities to wear a mask. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, you are exempt from this order. Due to HIPPAA (sic) and the 4th Amendment we cannot legally ask you about yourmedical condition. Therefore, if we see you without a mask, we will assume you have a medical condition and we will welcome you inside to support our business!

A photon of the sign was shared on the We Are Parchment Facebook page by a resident who said, "This is very disappointing. Can someone from Geno's pkease address this? I am not comfortable supporting a business (which I have been supporting for the 6 years I have lived in Parchment) that is not supportive of our Governor's efforts to save lives. Honestly, I would love an explanation."
