Meet Michigan’s Michael Nicholson: The Most Credentialed Man In The World

I think we can say that in at least one aspect of our lives, we like to be overachievers. It takes a lot of commitment to be able to set out to accomplish a goal follow through and actually do it and keep it up.

But there’s a dude from Kalamazoo who has taken that mentality and basically applied it his entire life. So much so that he is technically considered the most credentialed person in the entire world. What do I mean by that? You’re not gonna believe the amount of degrees this guy has from college.

His name is Michael Nicholson and was born back in 1941. For over 60 years he has gone to school and has obtained more degrees than anybody ever. I find it pretty sweet that he’s from Kalamazoo, Michigan and yet somehow I’m just now learning about this guy.

How Many Degrees Does Michael Nicholson Have?

As of 2016 has earned one bachelor's degree one doctoral degree, two associate's degrees three specialist degrees, and 23 master's degrees. According to his Wiki, he was asked how he could have possibly achieved all that:

I just stayed in school and took menial jobs to pay for the education and just made a point of getting more degrees and eventually, I retired so that I could go full time to school.

I couldn't have possibly done anything close to that. You REALLY have to like school to do what he's done in life. But you gotta imagine after a while, people are gonna accuse him of being the teacher's pet.
