Tired of the crowds during the summer season on Mackinac Island?   Here is your chance to head to the Island this fall.

According to the story at M-Live,  Star Line Ferry will extend service to the island through November 12th.

This is a couple weeks past the normal end of the fall season.  There will be up to a dozen departure options through the week and up to 16 on the weekends.

By this time in the fall most of the main parts of the island are closed down for the winter, but this is a great time for you to bike around the island or hike through the state park.

You can also enjoy a more quieter island than you would see during the peak summer season.

I was just up there recently and can only imagine the look of the island during that time of year.
