The First Time I Heard John Lennon

Today would of been John Lennon's 74 Birthday and I was trying to remember the first time I heard him.  It wasn't The Beatles surprisingly, It was his solo work. The two earliest songs of his I remember hearing were, "Imagine" and "(Just Like) Starting Over".

I can't remember which one I heard first but both songs I remember hearing quite regularly on radio. The "Double Fantasy" songs were all over when I was 4-5 years old. In fact, I remember hearing the songs more than the news stories about his death.

Today on what would of been his 74 Birthday I remember his songs with both The Beatles and solo.  A great body of work that not only influenced me but the world.
