The KHL is the premier hockey league in Russia.  They may not be on the level with the NHL, but they have that league beat in trick shots.

According to CBS Sports, The KHL preseason is underway and in a fan event for AK-Bars Kazan, forward Vladimir Tkachyov took things to another level.

Instead of the usual trick shots like the spin-o-rama or between the legs, Vladimir scooped up the puck and threw his stick like a javelin into the goal.

A cool move that is totally illegal as you can't throw your stick in hockey.   Could you imagine if you could actually do this move in a game?   I think NHL players need to follow the KHL for trick shot and shootout ideas.
