The 55th annual Great Lakes Invitational college hockey tournament returns to Little Caesars Arena in late December.

According to the Detroit Red Wings, the annual tournament will feature four schools from Michigan for only the 16th time in tournament history.

The two day tournament this year will feature Michigan Tech against Michigan State on Monday, December 30th at 1 p.m.

Michigan against Ferris State will follow the previous game at 4 p.m.   Tuesday, December 31st will feature the third place game at 11:30 a.m. followed by the championship game at 2:30 p.m.

Lake Superior State won it last year.  Once again this year the Red Wings will follow the championship game by hosting the San Jose Sharks at 7:30 p.m.
