The flood gates seem to have opened.  Well, at least, as much as we can expect when dealing with mind & body altering substances.  We've been chronicling the progress and keeping tabs on the "bumps in the road".  Lately, though, there have been less bumps and all parties involved are figuring it out.  However, people continue to wonder why Grand Rapids has been slow to jump into the fray; until now.

According to woodtv.com, the wait is over today!  The first medical marijuana shop in Grand Rapids opened its doors to patients this morning.  Fluresh, the new medical cannabis provisioning center, is located at 1213 Phillips Ave. SW near the intersection of Hall Street and Buchanan Avenue.  They had a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am and the first 50 patients received gift bags and the shop scheduled deals throughout the day.  It will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Workers say patients with a Michigan medical marijuana card don’t need to schedule an appointment ahead of time.
