Metal and fire loving idiots Beavis and Butt-Head are coming back to TV. “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again," says Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge of the just-announced new series, which he will write, produce and voice. This new version moves them from MTV to another ViacomCBS-owned network, Comedy Central, and will have the two “entering a whole new Gen Z world” where they'll deal with “meta-themes relatable to both new and old fans — Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids.”

Comedy Central has ordered two season of this new version of Beavis & Butt-Head. The original series ran from 1993-1997 on MTV, where their adventures were intercut with them spending time on the couch watching, and commenting on, music videos. The show spawned a hit 1996 movie, Beavis & Butt-Head Do America, and was rebooted in 2011 where the pair watched TV shows and movies.

No other details on the new series, like a premiere date, have been announced yet. Stay tuned.
