There was plenty of competition over Labor Day Weekend, including a LOT of college football, baseball, and even the Paralympics are still on on NBC. But of all the things people took seriously this past Labor Day, one of the biggest might have been eating.

Of course, there was the Hot Dog eating competition between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi on netflix, where Chestnut beat his own world record of 83 hot dogs in 10 minutes. That was exciting of course, but there was still another eating competition in Michigan that I tend to think is more important... the first ever Harmful Roester Ranch Chugging Contest in Belding.

Yeah, this past Labor Day Weekend, a bar and restaurant in Belding Michigan, called the Harmful Roester, held this one-of-a-kind competition (at least from what we know of) where contestants had to finish a 24-oz glass of Ranch Dressing in the fastest time.

At least a dozen competitors, including at least two children, sat at a line of picnic tables in the bar's outside patio, ready to compete, but when the time came, everything was over and done with in just 10 seconds.

That is... unreal... and disgusting.

Don't get me wrong, Ranch Dressing is awesome, and as one of the competitors put it, yeah, I probably put that much on at least a salad or two in just a couple sittings. But to chug a full mug of ranch dressing... and to do it in 10 seconds... is insane.

Nonetheless, the lucky winner was Zach Orvis... again, 24 oz. of the Harmful Roester's house ranch dressing in 10 seconds.

"I don't feel sick at all - it's just Ranch Dressing."

I bet he took those words back a little alter in the night.

And what did Zach get for winning the competition? A $100 gift card, and a free order of all-you-can-eat wings every week until the spring of 2025 at the Harmful Roester.

Was it worth it? Zach thought it was.
