Bicycles To Be Welcomed Aboard Pere Marquette Trains

If you do a lot of riding along the lake shore and use Amtrak, you will be able bring your bike along aboard Pere Marquette Trains.

According to the press release, Amtrak and Michigan Department of Transportation announce for the first time passengers can travel with their bikes between Grand Rapids and Chicago.

Amtrak Pere Marquette trains operate daily between the two cities and feature stops in Holland and St Joseph-Benton Harbor.   $10 each way will get your bike aboard.  The train will allow up to 16 bikes per train plus reservations are required.
