The WMU Football Broncos are headed back to Dallas for a post season bowl game. While it's not the Cotton Bowl game, as the played in 2017, it is one of the last bowl games of the season, December 30th and will be on ESPN. The ServPro First Responder Bowl will put WMU against Western Kentucky.

WKU has a better record coming into the game 8-4, one better than WMU. But it's the fifth bowl game in six years for Western, and will allow the coaching staff an extra month of practice will this roster, including MAC Offensive Player of the Year LeVonte Bellamy.

The game will be played at Gerald J. Ford Stadium (named after a Texas billionaire who paid for it, not the former President from Michigan). And it will be against a familiar foe, if you're north of 80 years old or so. WMU's opponent, the WKU Hilltoppers, actually have a somewhat long history against the Broncos, having played each other fourteen times between 1923 and 1947, winning the last three. The last time the two played football, the Broncos won 38-0.
