As we continue down this road in a new frontier we've addressed many issues surrounding recreational marijuana use and the how things will change and how we'll have to change with them.  Recently, another new question came up that we weren't able to answer until now.

According to an article on upnorthlive.com, experts in the field say the answer is yes.  If you do plan on donating, phlebotomists said to make sure you eat something and have plenty of fluids before you come.  If you appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you could be turned away.  They just ask that people not be, you know, terribly under the influence at the time of donation. The reason is, there's a series of medical history questions that we need to ask and we need to have the individual able to answer them completely and honestly. The whole donation process takes about an hour, but the blood collection itself usually only takes about 10 minutes.
