Over the weekend the latest class of The Baseball Hall Of Fame was inducted in Cooperstown, New York.  Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, and Craig Biggio were the players inducted.

All  four of these guy deserve it.  I personally think one of the best induction classes since the hall opened.

Being a big Atlanta Braves fan through out the 90's, I saw many games featuring John Smoltz.  In fact he was one of the reasons I watched many Braves games.  He is a native of Lansing, and pitched for Waverly High School.  I heard stories from my cousin who actually faced Smoltz in high school and struck out every time he faced him.

He was a great starting pitcher and when he switched to being a closer was great in that roll as well.  One of my all time favorite non Tigers players.

Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez were two pitchers that nobody wanted to face.  I didn't get to see them pitch much, but when I did see them both were dominate and two of the best in the game.

One of the memories I have of Randy Johnson is when he no hit the Detroit Tigers in 1990.  Another great memory is in the 1993 All Star Game when he threw over the head of John Kruk.

Craig Biggio, I unfortunately didn't get to see much at all.  Being a fan of the game, I knew of him and was surprised when he was passed over last year just missing induction.

A great class of players.  Congratulations on induction to The Hall Of Fame.
