I was just reminded of one of my biggest pet peeves.  Although, it's something that happens very seldom.  I'm talking about families who cheer for their kid at graduation.  Just saying it may make some people think: well what's wrong with that?  They're excited for their child.  I've been to 3 of my children's graduations and am about to go to the 4th and last and I can tell you that it's one of the most infuriating and rudest moments of our lives as parents.

In case you're not familiar with the problem, 2 graduates walk out on stage together and  the first of 2 names is announced.  What has happened is the family of the first name announced cheers and the second name can't be heard so that kid's family doesn't get to hear their name.  But the thing that has pissed us off the most is, the host (usually the principal) reminds the audience SEVERAL times before and DURING the ceremony and the people JUST WON'T KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT!!!!

So now, according to our friends at FOX 17, there are some school systems around the country that want to impose fines for cheering in this way and there's a possibility that it has caught the attention of some schools around here.  Normally, I say this is going too far but in this case I say LIGHT'EM UP!!!  Check out the story by clicking HERE.
