Considering what's happened lately with deer showing up on the beach along Lake Michigan, maybe getting a head start on hunting season is a good idea.  It's been chronicled that less and less hunters are participating in the traditional hunting seasons partly because of obvious attrition but also because the next generation and the generation after that have less and less enthusiasm for the sport of deer hunting.  There are certainly other factors but one thing remains constant, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources does a pretty good job monitoring the deer population and allows for control by means of hunting.

According to 9and10news.com, antlerless deer applications open up on July 15th for the 2019 deer hunting season.  Everyone is allowed to apply for just one license in total and , if approved, will cost $5.00.  There are other features and stipulations to this process and you can check them out by clicking HERE.
