The business of legal recreational marijuana now seems to be moving full steam ahead.  It was just a few months ago that it looked like things would come to a grinding halt as cities and towns were passing laws to prohibit the sale of pot.  Today we have information that the sale of legal weed has exceeded $10,000,000 in just the first 6 weeks of the year and more and more retail outlets are opening up.  So what's the next incarnation?  How about Marijuana School.

It may not be what you immediately thought of but, nevertheless, there is a school opening up to educate the dispensary owners and workers in the State of Michigan.  According to, a new medical marijuana school in Pontiac is holding an open house and job fair for those looking to work in dispensaries.  It's called Higher Learning Institutions ( of course it is) and it's located at 17 South Saginaw St. in downtown Pontiac with plans to open this March for classes. The cannabis school will offer courses covering growing, cultivation, extraction and patient care in medical marijuana dispensaries.  Registration for the open house can be found at
