A YouTube channel dedicated to life's ups and downs (literally), spent the day in Kalamazoo riding ten elevators.

You can find anything and everything on the internet. All hobbies and interests seem to have a channel, from train enthusiasts to urban explorers, white water rafters to extreme quilters. Even something as pedestrian as riding an elevator gets subscriptions and video views- 48 subscribers don't wart to miss what's next on the Elevators from Michigan YouTube channel.

A recent visit to Kalamazoo did not begin well when the channel creator encountered a broken elevator at Menards on West Main. You can see the frustration when the button doesn't even light up after 312 presses. After a trip upstairs to investigate, the visit was pronounced a failure: "that was very disappointing." The rider had better luck at the Menards on Gull Road, even taking a second, then a third ride up and down.

The area hotel trips to Four Points, Holiday Inn Express, Clarion , Baymont, Quality Inn, Fairfield and Candlewood Suites were all a success, as was a trip to Meijer in Portage. In each video, the host gives a complete tour of each elevator cab, pointing out the indicator, capacity plate, state plate, emergency telephone, speaker and fixtures (buttons) in each.

I'm not qualified to rank the differences, but the creator of the Elevators from Michigan YouTube channel clearly makes their preferences known. We hope they enjoyed their trip to Kalamazoo.
