Since I heard that David Bowie passed away earlier this week, I have been trying to remember the first time I ever heard his music.   I am too young to have experienced the "Ziggy Stardust" days and some of his biggest albums of the 70's.   I think my first song of his I heard was, "Let's Dance".

I would of been 7 years old.   I don't remember the exact moment I heard it but I am sure I did somewhere.   My parents were never into the music of that time and I think it was through my cousin that I was exposed to it.

My first actual lasting memory of David Bowie would of been his performance at Live Aid.   I never got to see him live, but that performance always sticks out for me.  His set included, "TVC 15","Rebel Rebel", "Modern Love" and "Heroes".    His performance along with the performance of Queen, are the two that I remember the most from that legendary concert.

I wish I could of been exposed to more of his art at the time.  I am glad that now I can go back and listen to his music and see some of the classic performances that he left us.
