Scott Adams is a local factory worker in Hastings and in no way is a teacher, at least in a professional setting. But his love and natural talent for artistry are something he's super passionate about.

Because he is a factory worker, he wants others to do it for the love as well. Although he isn't illustrating comic books for a living, he realized he may have a lot to offer others who take an interest in art, after noticing many activities his own daughter participates in showed little benefit with a high price tag.

He presently shared some of his work and put the word out on Facebook:

I’m going to start a group and get together some kids and get creative hopefully! I’m looking for input on how often I should try to do this, and what days or times would be better. if I have enough kids to categorize by age or maybe have a prepared plan and they come by interest one week do superheroes maybe dragons or animals another. Would it be better to ask for a price or donations for the place? What’s a reasonable cost? Thanks in advance I Hope I can provide a fun and enriching experience for some kids.

We've seen a lot of these shops open in the past decade where you can get together with friends and paint with an instructor for a fee, but this option sounds like it may be less expensive than normal.

Is this something you'd be interested in? Personally stick figures are as advanced as I can go but applaud and appreciate those with a painter's hand.

I asked him how he got his start with his artist side:

I have an interesting upbringing in the way that my grandfather was an artist by trade and his story is amazing and deserves articles by himself. I’ve been drawing and painting my whole life, but haven’t ever taken a leap to quit my day job and try to do it as a career. I draw all over the stuff around me. Boards, walls, money, paper, canvas I do everything except tattoo
