Remember in the "before days" when Michigan was top five in safe drivers in the country but the highest insurance rates in the country?  Remember right before the pandemic the Michigan legislature passed the law to reduce insurance rates?  Well the combination of those 2 events are bring good news to Michigan drivers.

The Department of Insurance and Financial Services at michigan.gov/autoinsurance   has posted the latest details that includes the historic legislation that lowered costs but also maintains the highest coverage options in the country.  The changes will start on July 1, 2020.  The result will be... wait for it... a decrease of, at least, 16.5% for people who opt in to unlimited coverage.  Of course, there are several options and you might do yourself some good checking them out.  And lets not forget that many insurance companies are rebating their clients during the lockdown for the obvious "less driving" reason and also to help those who've lost income.
