We're getting close to a year since recreational marijuana became legal in Michigan.  So far we know how much you can possess, how much you can grow and where you can and cannot smoke it.  The number of cities and municipalities that have instituted bans on the sale of recreational marijuana is growing (no pun intended) and there still is no way to go to a store and buy some weed.  Well, except for medical marijuana and the revenue numbers on that along would suggest that cities and the state are missing out on a huge windfall.

According to an article on metrotimes.com, Michigan's medical marijuana industry made $68.6 million in the last quarter alone.  That's approximately 11,500 pounds of pot sold in Michigan between April 1, 2019 and June 30th, 2019.  The taxes on that could fix a few roads.  just think how much revenue the state will bring in once the purchase of recreational marijuana is added to the mix...if it ever is.  Check out more by clicking HERE.
