Jerry Cantrell Welcomes Greg Puciato, James Lomenzo + More at L.A. Solo Show
Alice in Chains may be done touring for the year, but Jerry Cantrell decided to get in a little more stage time over the weekend. The guitarist booked a pair of shows at the Pico Union Project in Los Angeles, inviting a few of his friends to help out.
Though Cantrell was front and center for the evening, there was plenty of other star power as his band included ex-Dillinger Escape Plan singer Greg Puciato, Megadeth and Black Label Society alum James Lomenzo, Marilyn Manson and Bush producer Tyler Bates and Saudade drummer Gil Sharone.
For much of the set, Puciato joined Cantrell on vocals, including on some of Alice in Chains' most well known tracks. See fan-shot footage of the performances of "Would?" and "Down in a Hole" below.
Cantrell also dug into his solo work, starting the show with "Between" and "Cut You In." And there were a couple of covers thrown in for good measure with Cantrell and his pals closing out the evening with CCR's "Who'll Stop the Rain" and Elton John's "Goodbye."
