I've had the honor and privilege of hosting the Kalamazoo 9-11 Remembrance Service on 2 occasions and I'll be honored and privileged once again tomorrow in Bronson Park downtown Kalamazoo.  The event begins at 5:30pm and will last about an hour.

Once again this year we will honor our own first responders along with those who lost their lives on that fateful day in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.  All of the substance and pageantry will be on display as is deserved including the last alarm from the Portage Fire Department, presentation of colors, laying of the wreath, 21 gun salute, taps and more.  There will also be the several guest speakers including Congressman Fred Upton from the 6th district, Chaplain Roger Ulman from Kalamazoo Public Safety as well as beautiful music and voices.  It's always very moving and emotional and would prove to be an educational opportunity for children of all ages.  We hope to see you there.
