It seems like every Halloween week lately the weather just doesn't hold out until the 31st.  How about this...back in 1989 we were living in the Cleveland area and it was 82 degrees on Halloween.  Where has that been?  The last few years it's been cold or rainy or both and I feel sorry for the kids because they have to wear something over their costume that they're so excited to wear.  Well, it looks like 40 degrees and rain on Thursday so maybe go to plan "B".

Our friends at FireKeepers Casino Hotel told us last week that THE place to be on Thursday if you want to stay warm and dry is one of the coolest around.  We're talking The Fire Hub on Kendall and Dickman in Battle Creek and it's always worth the drive. The Fire Hub Halloween event is family friendly, safe, trick-or-treating. Kelloggs, South Michigan Food Bank, the Battle Creek Chamber, BC Vision and Battle Creek Community Foundation will all have stops, handing out candy, cotton candy, cupcakes and more! The event takes place on Halloween from 5 pm – 7 pm at the Fire Hub. Rain or shine!  For more information go to firehubbc.com.
