Since rock and roll is an international language, ZZ Top found a rabid fan base at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2013. One hundred seventeen artists performed in a diverse lineup that included Green Day, Bonnie Raitt, Deep Purple, Kraftwerk, Sting and Prince. The support acts this week have a definite holiday sound. Greg Lake performs his best known song "Lucky Man" and the iconic "I Believe in Father Christmas." Excerpts from a Heart show in December of 2013 include "Barracuda," their version of "Stairway to Heaven," and a special appearance by Sammy Hagar on the song "Santa's Goin' South." Finally, Brian Setzer swings by to...well, swing. The Brian Setzer Orchestra is is full-on throwback holiday mode, tearing through "Santa Claus is Back in Town," Jingle Bell Rock," "Blue Christmas," and a medley of "Stray Cat Strut/You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch."
